Welcome to my Page

I like to draw people into my mind. As an artist I do this through my illustrations and character designs. This is something I do through my digital artwork, created with the aid of a drawing tablet.
The Fantasy genre provides a lot of my inspiration, from media such as Dungeons and Dragons as well as Marvel comics, the way things are stylised relating to the real world but not being directly the same. The fluidity and the ease of trialling new techniques using digital software really appeals to me as a creative. My own experiences, identity and beliefs influence the work I create, expressing in ways other than words.

Character Design

Sona / Mascot
One of my most recent anthro designs, I'm very proud in how my marking skills have changed and improved especially over the last few years. It was helpful to think of his theme while I created him, which was technology and latte, which comes out with his very latte art inspired markings.
It's profile

Personal Character design for a 'Fursona'.
A character I first made over a year ago but very recently redesigned slightly. It also pushed me into making a slightly more detailed reference style then pictured here - showing off the character's personality more with their clothing reference.
His profile

Personal Character design for an alternate version of my sona.
As a 'normal human' design, I had to consider a different approach to add more interest into his design, such as his tattoos. His tattoos and outfit all tie into the fact he's heavily associated with them Moon.
I did also want to keep him on the simplier side.
His profile

Personal Redesign / Concept.
Based off of the design and character of Jim Starling from Ducktales 2017, I used both the show's style and design elements to create a slightly different design to work in the take on the universe I've been working on for fun. I'm very proud of the reasons behind these design choices.
About

Personal Character Concept.
Originally created for a university class for creating a game, they needed to be simplistic for both the style they were going to appear in the game but also to be animated.
Their profile

Personal Character Concept.
A currently unfinished design, but a dinosaur hybrid concept based off of the Jurassic Park style Dilophosaurus and a Baryonyx. I wanted the darker palette to make them look like a more effective hunter, but then added the pop of bright light blue to make them stand out when he needs to.

Client Work

Fan art isn't something I really tend to create as a creative, I am heavily inspired most of the media which I consume, but I don't really get the urge to create work dedicated to them often.
However, sometimes a show just captures something within me and I just have to share this creative energy.

Fan Art

The following work is fan work created and inspired from the following shows:
Darkwing Duck
Our Flag Means Death
Gravity Falls
The Owl House
The Muppets - Gonzo

As I stated, specific fan art isn't something I create that often, but when I do it is usually something that really captures and means something to me as a person. This is especially clear for the Great Gonzo, a character from the Muppets franchise, one of the few characters from a media I have drawn myself. He just means so much to me as a person and a creative who has never really blended into being part of a crowd.

The Record Shop Project is a group project of which I am one of the creators for. It's an ongoing online project with a physical exhibition at the Peterborough Cathedral from the 14th March 2023 till the 19th of March 2023.

The Record Shop Project

My main roles within the project is that I am one of the website editors, I have been adding onto the gallery as we gain new submissions. I am also the main communication manager, answering any questions that the public or those wishing to submit may have (though I will check with the rest of the group if it's something we have not previously discussed and that I'm confident is the correct information).
This also means that I log the submissions coming in and making sure that all art submitted to us that is appropriate, gets to be shown in some way or another.

What is it?

Explain on it's own website as well, The Record Shop Project is an art exhibition and on going project exploring the connection between music and visual art. The project will include artwork inspired by any song or album that the artist has chosen themselves. The work actually exhibited within the Cathedral will undergo some slightly stricter rules, mindful of the fact that it is both a place the general public of all ages can access but also because it is a place of worship, we should be mindful of their own beliefs as well.

My own Submissions

Being our own project that as a collective we are all hosting all of, we decided it would be nice to also try to submit some of our own work to the project as well. I also wanted to make some as it's an idea I'm personally interested in, so wanted to submit my own work as part of it.

Further designs that are both created for personal use as well as for others.
Many of these characters exist on their own in universes I created myself, but others are also fan characters which are designed with the knowledge that they need to fit within a specific - predefined universe.

My Statement

It’s that time of year again, Pride Month.
A time I have always been grateful for and something I have slowly been focusing more and more on as a queer person going into their full adulthood.
Those online and those I know from the ‘real world’ know I have been quite open about my discovery of my asexuality over the last few years, it took a long time for me to work out there wasn’t something wrong with me and that there was an explanation for how I did, or as it feels more apt, didn’t feel. I am a proud queer, it’s what I made my final project on for university…
It's what I made one of my main projects for college on, it’s what I made my final graphics GCSE on.
The other side of my identity.
I have been very open online about this, but I have found it hard to tell those I know in person, and it is something I hope that those who truly know me understand why this has felt so hard for me to finally come out with. I’m a chronic worrier but I can’t face it any more, I can’t go into another stage of my life living my life not completely as I want.
I am a transman and I have known this for the last 8 years.
The pronouns I use online consist of He / They / It as well as other neo-pronouns that make me feel seen, that make me feel safe and comfortable.
This has been something hard for me to face, knowing how happy my parents were that their fourth and final child was finally a girl, maybe that was the other hurdle that stopped me from saying this sooner. Chronically worried to be seen as a ‘failure’ in any sense.
I am sorry if anyone is upset that this is how I am being honest, but I have spent so many days wondering how to say this but I just clam up before the words can come out. It’s also something I’ve tried to be less subtle about, you’ve met my sonas, the characters I’ve told you represent me as a person and what they’ve all had in common is the fact that they themselves are transmen.
I feel the need to reshare this page from my major project; The Digital Age & 'Sonas' it took a lot for me to finally write a version of that, that wasn’t just, this statement.
So, uuuh happy pride everyone if you’ve read this
